# Pyramids and Sacred Geometry

The sacred geometry involved in the pyramid of Giza is a scaled representation of the earth, the moon, and our own human bodies. Sacred Geometry is a massive topic as are the Pyramids so I will only be able to touch the surface but there are some fascinating properties of the great Pyramid.

The mathematical properties of the Pyramid are an area of debate as it clearly demonstrates – π (pi) The reason this is problematic is the Greeks are credited with discovering – π (pi) about 2000 later. So looking at the maths and quoting Graham Hancock

‘We find – π (pi) incorporated in the great pyramid of Giza, it is found in precisely the ratio you need to calculate the circumference of a sphere from its radius.If you take the height of the pyramid and multiply it by 2 π (pi) you get an exact print out of the perimeter of the base.’

The Great pyramid also demonstrates the equatorial circumference and polar radius of the earth.

“When you take the height of the pyramid and multiply it by 43200 you get an exact print out of the polar radius of the earth. When you take the base perimeter of the pyramid and multiply it by 43200 you get an exact print out of the equatorial circumference of the earth.’ Graham Hancock

Why 43200? Graham Hancock explains in order to build a scaled model of the Northern Hemisphere of the earth that they would need a scale of between 1:40000 – 1:50000 They chose 43200 to demonstrate astrological procession through an age or constellation one cycle being 2160 years x 20= 43200 We are currently moving out of the age of Pisces into the age of Aquarius.

Eckhart has no doubt that the pyramid is a 43200:1 scaled model of the earth.

Eckhart R. Schmitz book The Great Pyramid of Giza Decoding the Measure of a Monument is the most comprehensive explanation of the pure maths involved in the scaling coding and geometry of the pyramid that I have found and is available as a free resource online. In his book he details in great length the relationships between what he calls ‘code numbers’ found in the pyramid, he demonstrates that squaring the circle, the golden ratio and Phi can be seen.

One of the simplest observations he makes is that ‘ that there are 43200 seconds in 12 hours’

‘Another example of the accuracy of scientific knowledge exhibited by encoded measures, it is found that the Volume of The King’s Chamber Coffer multiplied by 43,200 Million, Million, Million is equal to the Volume of the Earth to within an accuracy of 99.83%.’ -Eckhart R. Schmitz

## Earth-Moon Pyramid and Pi Relationship

The earth/moon relationship is the only one in our solar system that contains this unique golden section ratio that “squares the circle”. Along with this is the phenomenon that the moon and the sun appear to be the same size, most clearly noticed during an eclipse. This too is true only from earth’s vantage point. No other planet/moon relationship in our solar system can make this claim.

Although the problem of squaring the circle was proven mathematically impossible in the 19th century (as pi, being irrational, cannot be exactly measured), the Earth, the moon, and the Great Pyramid are all coming about as close as you can get to the solution.If the base of the Great Pyramid is equated with the diameter of the earth, then the radius of the moon can be generated by subtracting the radius of the earth from the height of the pyramid.

The diameters of the Earth and Moon (7920 miles and 2160 miles) are in the ratio of 11 to 3 (3 divided by 11 equals .272727272727) If the Moon could roll around the Earth, the circle made by the moon’s center has a circumference precisely equal to the perimeter of a square around the Earth (when Pi is approximated by it’s ancient, traditional ratio 22/7 = 3.14).

That is, the sizes of the Earth and Moon reveal a “squared circle” relationship, the happy marriage of impossibilities: circle and square, irrational and rational, Heaven and Earth.

**Fibonacci Numbers in Nature: The Golden Ratio**

The Fibonacci numbers are Nature’s numbering system. They appear everywhere in Nature, from the leaf arrangement in plants to the pattern of the florets of a flower, the bracts of a pinecone, or the scales of a pineapple. The Fibonacci numbers are therefore applicable to the growth of every living thing, including a single cell, a grain of wheat, a hive of bees, and even all of mankind.

The Fibonacci sequence is generated by adding the previous two numbers in the list together to form the next and so on and so on. It goes: 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55,89,144,233, etc. It is made by adding the last two numbers of the sequence to get the next one, as in 1+1=2, 1+2=3, 2+3=5, 3+5=8, 5+8=13, etc.

Divide any number in the Fibonacci sequence by the one before it, for example, 55/34, or 21/13, and the answer is always close to 1.61803. This is known as the Golden Ratio.

**Successive points dividing a golden rectangle into squares** lie on a logarithmic spiral which is known as the golden spiral.

One of the most profound and significant activities encompassed within sacred geometry and light Source is the ‘Golden Mean Spiral’, derived by using the ‘Golden Ratio’.

The phi ratio is found in the architecture of the Great Pyramid in the triangle formed by the height, half-base, and the apothem, or diagonal. In other words, the basic cross – section of the structure demonstrates the Golden Section.

If the half – base is given a value of 1, this gives the value of phi for the apothem, and the square root of phi for the height. The Golden Section shows up again and again in Giza.

## Leonardo Da Vinci’s Vitruvian man

Leonardo Da Vinci’s Vitruvian man what he is showing in this sketch is that the human body ‘squares the circle’. When man stretches his arms and holds them horizontally, man’s body will perfectly fit into the square. On the other hand, when he spreads his legs and raises his arms as in the sketch, man’s body can be perfectly circumscribed by a circle. The circumference of the square ‘equals’ that of the circle

A lot has been written about this sketch alone, it contains a whole lot of hidden sacred geometry. The Hermetic tradition tells us that the human body can be regarded as a blueprint for the universe by means of all the ratios that are found within the body. This may indeed be true. The upper red circle represents the moon and the lower red circle represents the Earth. In mathematical terms: The ratio of the diameter of the smaller red circle to the bigger red circle r / R equals the ratio of the diameter of the moon to the diameter of the Earth.

There is another mysterious relation to be discovered in the sketch of the Vitruvian man by Leonardo Da Vinci. The Great Pyramid at the Giza holds a perfect geometrical relation to the squaring of the circle and the Vitruvian man

The triangle in the picture is the exact geometrical proportion of the Great Pyramid of Giza. The angles between the base and the apex (top) of the pyramid are exactly 51 degrees and 51 seconds. (51º 51’).
